YODEL delivered a smashed mirror and ran off

Driver arrived, fifties hanging out of mouth, asked me to sign whilst he got the large parcel, a mirror, out of the van. He dumped down the mirror, ran and I mean ran to van and sped off. The parcel was a box of broken pieces.

I contacted supplier and was sent another mirror, first one was left on the doorstep to be collected. We felt safe doing that as it just rattled when picked up.
Same driver, same item a few days later. Again mirror was broken, not so badly this time. Same routine, it was sent back, the supplier then said they would use a different courier.

During the second delivery the driver put his ciggie down on the gravel by my door.

A few days later a different parcel but same driver. I asked him why he felt it was ok to deliver obviously broken items, and to leave broken glass on my doorstep.

A stream of abuse was issued at me, culminating in “I don’t have to put up being abused by you, I have my human rights. You’ll never get another parcel from me.”

He then got back into his van with my parcel. Subsequent parcels were never delivered, they were returned to the suppliers as customer refused delivery.

It was a nightmare to sort this out with Yodel, but eventually it was, and I have had no problems since.

To get back to the ciggie on the gravel, my dog urinates on that spot each morning. Just deserts I think.

The moral of the tale is if you are at home or out, you can still get a rotten service.

YODEL tried to deliver three times when they knew I was out

I ordered goods from Bobbi Brown and paid for next day delivery to my office. Yodel we’re given the office hours and told to leave at reception. Three times they tried to deliver after office hours including trying on a Saturday. Each time they said they left a card but no card was found. I finally got my goods 5 days late. Great job Yodel not!

I will avoid firms that use YODEL from now on

I have had so many bad experiances with YODEL deliveries, including missing parcels and all the parcels that have actually been delivered were all damanged.

If i order anything online and see that it is being delivered by YODEL is cancel the order.

They claimed that i was in and signed for a package. I got a letter from my employer confirming i was 140 miles away at the time . In fact Yodel cannot produce a copy of my signature so it left me in limbo. Hopes the company goes bankrupt as they really dont care about service or customers

my parcel was due to go to a sorting office in reading before out on a wagon for my home in hampshire, instead it was sent to peterborough and delayed 24 hours, inept and incompetant………..

Wrecked parcel arrived from YODEL a week late

My Yodel next day delivery of Amazon goods failed to turn up. Yodel tracking said they tried to deliver and left calling cards three times but their van never came near my property. The following week the parcel appeared and it was completely ‘wrecked’ there was barely anything left of it. I wrote to the Managing director of Yodel but never received a reply.

I did not receive the goods I’d ordered and Yodel claimed to have delivered on a specific day and at a specific time and had obtained a signature from “John”.

However, at the exact time they quoted a builder’s delivery van was blocking the gateway … and delivery would have been impossible. John does not exist.

YODEL left parcel in with my recycling to be collected

I was out when my parcel arrived. A card with no boxes ticked to tell me where the parcel had been left was shoved in my letter box. I called Yodel to rearrange delivery for the 3 days later when I knew I’d be in. They confirmed delivery would be made then. Next morning I saw a plastic bag lying in amongst my recycling bag contents which was due to be collected that day. My delivery! All the yodel man had to do was tick the box telling me where to look. I was lucky to put recycling in my bag the next day or otherwise would have lost my parcel forever. Hopeless.

We’ve seen some pretty shocking examples of Yodel deliveries in the past, but this one takes the biscuit – well, it actually throws the biscuit. A customer videoed what he says was a delivery from a Yodel driver who just threw the parcel from his van without even stopping.
