Complaints:

I cancelled my Amazon order as soon as I saw it was YODEL

December 12, 2013

I placed an order on Amazon yesterday and as soon as I saw it was being delivered by YODEL I cancelled it. I don’t need to read this website to know that YODEL are the worst Courier this side of Pluto…

I don’t blame the drivers I fully blame the managers for paying peanuts to their staff and expecting their customers to get a great service. They should change the website to MUPPITS.COM

Order from Argos never turned up

December 12, 2013

Parcel dumped in garden in the rain even though I was in

December 12, 2013

Waited all day at home for my package to arrive. At around 5.30 i noticed a white van reversing down the road, but as no one had rung the doorbell thought it was just a lost delivery driver.

Upon leaving my house later I found the package thrown on the floor by the door, in the pouring rain. I was in, it was obvious I was in the lights were clearly on – yet they had not bothered to ring the doorbell – they had just dumped the package outside my door.

‘Left in a safe place’ it was left outside the door anyone could have walked past and picked it up.

Blu-Ray player dropped over 6 foot fence

December 12, 2013

Ordered a 3D Blue Ray Player for a Xmas gift. I arrived home to find a Yodel card had been left which stated ‘Parcel left over side gate’. They had in fact dropped the box over a narrow 6 foot fence panel at the side of the house. The box clearly shows that the item is a blue ray player. I can’t believe that a ‘trained delivery person’ would drop it over a 6 foot fence. Although the player looks undamaged externally I dread to think what the fall has done to the internal components?

All YODEL deliveries to me are ‘undeliverable’ as I live in Scotland

December 12, 2013

All the Christmas gifts that I ordered on amazon that were being shipped by yodel have been declared “undeliverable”. I live in Scotland not the Himalayas. Other delivery companies haven’t had this problem. Amazon has given me a refund but it is still highly irritating.

I used to use YODEL as a seller, but not anymore

December 12, 2013

Most of you complaining are shoppers, you might want to hear from a sender. I trade on-online, at the peak I was sending about 50-60 parcels per day, the rate I paid was so cheap but that come with problems. Many parcels were “delivered” and signed by “someone” near the delivery address (Yodel tracks the sign location using GPS).

Everytime this happened I had to ask for customer a signature to prove to Yodel customer did not sign for it. The frist fews cliams were easy but after a while they start asking more and more documents, which become a full time job itself, I had to handle the paper work and emails all the time for each “missing/delivered” parcel.

Eventually they stop replying my emails all together. Now I use ParcelForce and DPD delivery cost increase by about 40% but it is well worthy.

YODEL claimed nobody was in, which was a lie

December 11, 2013

I ordered two large bean bags and paid yodel £60 for the delivery. First of all they said they had called at 7.15pm and no one was in which was a lie. I think they just wanted an early shift and decided to go home but they even said they left a card which they didn’t.

The man on the phone sounded very surprised when I told him! Then they delivered them on a date which I told them not to as I would not be in but they delivered anyway and left them outside the house in the pouring rain. I have no idea how long they had been there.

Wine from Morrisons went missing via YODEL and has never turned up

December 11, 2013

Yodel were the courier used by Morrisons Cellar to deliver to me a case of wine, after using Yodels tracking service I was amazed to find that according to Yodel my wine had been delivered the previous day. I phoned Yodel tell them this was not so but they simply referred me to Morrisons yet 2 days later the actual delivery driver called me and insisted he had left the goods with one of my next door neighbours and had left a card through my door, I had already checked with my neighbours of 20 plus years and so knew this to be untrue and there had been no card placed through my letterbox. Morrisons spent 2 weeks ” investigating ” with Yodel who claimed the same, then that it had been left with someone 12 doors from my house and lastly that they had re delivered the goods which of course they had not.

At this point when I grew exasperated with the incompetence of Yodel and threatened to escalate the issue within Morrisons I was offered a re order but refused on the grounds that I would never knowingly order anything that involved a delivery from Yodel, I was then offered a full refund, I took the opportunity to advise Morrisons that they should find a more proficient courier to deliver their produce or they were likely to lose customers like they have lost me!

MissGuided and YODEL called me a liar about failed delivery

December 11, 2013

I received a parcel delivery confirmation from MissGuided and Yodel and the Yodel email said it had been left in a ‘safe place’. When I got home, there was no parcel OR card which I found odd. I rang Yodel straight away and MissGuided, who said they would launch an investigation. At first the driver said he left it in a safe place, then he said he posted it through my door. The changing story made me suspicious. After their ‘investigation’ concluded (which I had to email to ask) they said that they believe the parcel was delivered (basically calling me a liar and disregarding his changing story). So I had to go back to Missguided and ask them to give me a refund (which I’m still waiting to process). Still fuming with Yodel as it was for a dress for my anniversary and their pathetic investigation. They should stop recruiting drivers via Twitter.

Someone is making a good living out of failing to deliver

December 11, 2013

I ordered some coffee disks from Tassimo and after 5 days contacted them as the delivery had not been made. They contacted Yodel who claimed it was signed for by my next door neighbor. As my neighbor is always out on the day they claimed I knew it was not true. Also the name they claimed signed for the parcel was false as I know the neighbors well. Tassimo were very good and sent a replacement and this time I had the tracking number and all was OK. As the goods cost over £40 someone is making a good living failing to deliver. So not only did they claim to deliver and have a signature they did not leave a card saying parcel was with the neighbor.
