Paid extra for specific delivery day… it was ignored

I payed extra for an item to arrive yesterday at my place of employment. I later contacted the driver whom left me this as a response as to why he couldn’t/wouldn’t deliver.

My tracking indicated there was an issue at 14:07 and so contacted him at 5 to get the aforementioned response. Yodel are currently trying to resolve the issue, though I have no idea if it will be delivered today.

To add insult to injury it was a parting gift for my work colleague, I had to get a last minute replacement.

I don’t hold the customer services responsible, to their credit they have been pretty good.

My parcel was delivered and signed for… except I do not have it!!!

They said they had delivered my parcel and signed for it. I haven’t. This is the 2nd time in a row I’ve had problems with them.

And you cannot contact them – after doing the loop an their automated phone system, they hung up and their web chat was permanently busy. Their twitter contact led to no response…

How is this company still in business?

I was given a delivery date and made sure that there was someone in all day. I also have two dogs who tend to bark when someone knocks on the door.

No delivery, no calling card but an email and text message stating that the parcel had been left with an neighbour. Checked details and house number was not a neighbour. Went further up the street to the house number and parcel not there.

Tried online messaging Yodel and twice my chat was terminated. After a lot of searching I found a premium rate number and managed to speak to someone. Assured a call back and escalation but not happened. Taken to Twitter but this appears to be a PR exercise to tell everyone they are sorry and resolving problems quickly.

No response to the direct message I sent and looking unlikely I will receive my order.

YODEL delivery stolen after being left on doorstep

Yodel courier left parcel on the doorstep in public view – police agreed it was a stupid place to leave it and we have a crime report number.

Yodel supervisor PROMISED to contact seller to get them to begin claim process (they wouldn’t as item’s tracking had been clicked ‘delivered’by courier). This promise never happened and yodel then said they wouldn’t do this as it was against policy.

Another supervisor promised to chase things up but didn’t ever get back to me -another broken promise. Such an appalling exhibition of internal employees passing the buck from one to another, with no one actually caring enough to help.

To break a promise to a customer once it has been made it absolutely terrible. I don’t know how yodel is allowed to continue. Disgusted

Naked Wines order never showed up for our birthday celebration

Ordered from Nakedwines then given a time window of 2 hours for a signed delivery. From 12.11 to 14.11 and at 13.18 I received a message from Yodel to say ‘sorry we missed you’ except that we were in and nobody had called at the door or rang my mobile to say they couldn’t find us.

Within 2 minutes of the message I was onto Yodel online help (wrong word) to say we were in and send the driver back if he can’t find us (not hard No15). Only for a reply of disinterested person say they only make one attempt a day to deliver, he won’t be back today.

For 50 minutes while I was still chatting to the online unhelp waiting for my 14.11 time slot to expire did they attempt to contact the driver to attempt to turn around to deliver our package.

Spoiled a birthday celebration due to unhelpful Yodel. Very poor service.

YODEL never showed this time – last time dumped order at wrong house

Yet again, Yodel have failed to deliver correctly.

The driver claims he ‘could not find the house’…convenient for a Saturday afternoon. I have waited in all day for the delivery, I am not at home all day Monday or Tuesday.

This is really bad service and it’s not the 1st time!!!

My previous order of 2 very large heavy boxes was delivered or rather dumped on the wrong doorstep, the driver didn’t knock the door (I was at home) and I was left to try to drag them into the house.

I live alone, and I have serious health problems so this was not at all acceptable.

I will be taking this matter further

Day wasted waiting for YODEL for my Asda delivery

Yodel are liars.

An entire day wasted waiting for a parcel from George/Asda- watched the tracker count down from 63 deliveries before mine (an obviously unrealistic target!) to 17 with a delivery window 12-9pm…. Then it said they tried to deliver at 5:30 . Well I was in, as were my parents, and no one came. I assume the driver had enough and just clocked off at about 6 instead of worknh til 9. The online ‘service’ chat was of course closed by then – nice to see the customer service (haha) doesn’t cover the whole shift worked by the drivers.

They are of course not open tomorrow. I’ll be at work monday so it looks like im in for some fun… Wish Asda would change to a firm not run by incompetents

I’m not complaining but I am a yodel driver for 15 years and I do understand what u are going through but that is just stupid drivers spoiling the name of yodel.

I work in Hillingdon and Hayes and make sure my customers are happy.

Wish all drivers complied the same way sir.

Bulk Powders order left on the pavement by YODEL

Bulk Powders provide great products at great prices, however after three consecutive experiences of the delivery going missing, being delivered to the wrong address, and finally being left on the pavement in front of my house by Yodel, I sadly have to recommend to all customers to look elsewhere for a supplier to ensure they actually receive what they have purchased.

Why does Virgin Media use YODEL when they do THIS?

Has anyone also had this experience with the courier service Yodel? They failed to deliver my new phone yesterday, and yet their tracking website claimed they had just delivered it. I was furious when I refreshed the page and saw the delivery claim as I had taken that afternoon off work specifically to wait for the delivery. A Yodel customer service on chat confirmed the driver had dropped off the parcel at the wrong address about two miles away from my place (now, how is that even possible?). Having acknowledged the error, they told me the issue had now been escalated with their depot who would call me within four hours to arrange re-delivery. I also informed Virgin who got in touch with Yodel and confirmed the courier would call me to arrange re-delivery.

Fast forward to this morning; the call didn’t come yesterday, and a chat with a Yodel customer service agent gave me the shock of all shocks: their depot claims the case is now closed as delivery was successful! I protested, pointing out that just the previous day they had acknowledged their driver’s error. And their response? “Well, after the driver’s initial error this was corrected and the driver delivered the parcel to the correct address!” I was livid! Like, how is this even possible? Are we dealing with a mafia organisation here, or a legitimate company in first world, 21st century Britain? I’ve since read hundreds of reviews and the question uppermost on my mind is: given its appalling record, why does Virgin Media even use Yodel as their courier?
