YODEL asked me how they could improve their service? Try delivering something!

“How could we improve our service,” ask these muppets. Well, you could actually bother to do your fucking job and attempt delivery. I waited in ALL DAY (after receiving a card yesterday).

I kept monitoring your website – and by 4pm it had changed from ‘on its way’ to ‘you weren’t in’. No knock on door, no card, no accountability.

For all I know, the overworked driver had an punishing schedule to meet and my delivery happened to be ‘inconvenient’. I repeat: I waited in ALL DAY;

I had no choice because despite massive advances in communication and information technology you cannot tell me roughly what time I can expect delivery (in the past, before outsourcing and other ‘left-hand-doesn’t know-what-the-right-hand-is-doing’ bullshit took over, a ‘logistics firm’ could at least specify AM or PM, or the driver would call you). Your infuriatingly-crap customer service system is automated, making it nigh on impossible to deal with a real person. Unless, that is, you ring up an 0845 number that makes you money.

Yes, you’re rewarded for being FUCKING SHIT. Shit service, and a perfect example of how the so-called ‘competition’ that is a mainstay of neoliberalism has managed to screw up a valuable service through a price-driven race to the bottom.

YODEL in Lichfield cannot find my address

The Yodel liars at the Lichfield depot have said they cannot find my address – 2 days running!

No problems before, Royal Mail, DPD, yes, even Yodel in the past.

This despite the fact I spent an hour on the webchat giving very clear and concise directions to my property. This company is a disgrace.

YODEL van driving dangerously on A5

A5 Yodel driver southbound at 17:30 on 13th May driving PK64 AOF was crazy.

Flash lots of cars and driving right up close behind people and blowing his horn.

Yodel training is a joke. They are going to get someone killed.

Three days late with no explanation

Three days late, with no explanation, and none of the cards they would have left if I had been out.

Their “tracking system” gives only delivery as “today” and no time. Impossible to speak to anyone – only a typing “chat line” which is constantly engaged.

Since I can’t get to their local depot, I shall have to have the item returned to the supplier, and they may not be willing to do that!

YODEL claim parcel delivery to neighbour who denies it

My parcel was delivered on the 18 April to house 26 which is my neighbor and a lady signed for it. However I have been to all my neighbors and no one knows about this parcel.

I have been told by Yodel that there is nothing they can do until i contact the company who delivered the parcel. I find this rather frustrating.

I have been promised by Yodel that I would be contacted by them via email. I have never received any email and that automated call center number is the worst.

It seems I will never get my parcel. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

After FIVE days YODEL doesn’t know where my parcel is

I have been waiting for a parcel that failed to be delivered on 11/09/16 even though they put a card through my door.

I have been chasing for 5 days to finally be told they are sorry but they are not sure where my parcel is but ring the supplier to see if it has been sent back to them.

Having been told that I was then asked if I was happy with the service. ha ha ha

Jones the Bootmakers also use YODEL

Not on twitter, so just to let you know that you can add ‘Jones the Bootmakers’ to your list of companies using Yodel.

Yodel lost a delivery containing five pairs of boots worth c £400. Jones TB did offer to resend the order but some of the items were out of stock.

There was no communication from Yodel at any point needless to say and I had to find out for myself that the delivery was lost.

Argos put in a formal complaint against YODEL for me

Appalling service from Yodel. Originally ordered from Argos, and they did not disclose that they were using Yodel (because if they did I definitely would not have bothered). Ordered hair curlers that said they would be here for Wednesday last week.

The time frame which I had to wait was a joke, 7am-8pm. I took the day off work to wait as I needed them urgently. It did not come. It got deferred for friday time frame again 7am-8pm. A joke! On the tracker they said they had been and left a card which is a lie because I was in the whole day!

So I rearranged it for today. Time frame slightly better of 12pm-8pm, still an absolute joke. And iv just got the email to say they had been here again!!! What an absolute embarrassment. Argos rang to apologise and have put a formal complaint in for me. NEVER use Yodel.

Dont even bother ringing up to complain as you will be faced with automated personnel who keep you on the phone to make it more expensive.

I will be pursuing this complaint and will make sure something is done about this!

YODEL sent my parcel back to the sender, in the USA

First time I was expecting something to be delivered by Yodel they tried to deliver to and address in a village 5 miles away so completely different postcode etc.

I was told it would be redelivered but instead they sent it back to the sender in the USA.

This time they apparently couldn’t find the address but didn’t phone to ask for further directions.

Lazy or stupid ??

Giordano Wines package (please add to your list of companies). Missed delivery yesterday, stayed in specially today.

Didn’t hear knock, but heard card come through letterbox. Chased van down road but didn’t stop. Worst is customer service follow up. No manned telephone line to discuss issue. 2 hours of obstructive web chat with operator and supervisor led to absolutely no will to resolve issue or make any helpful gesture.

Unmoving “we will try again tomorrow”, refusal to even request a morning delivery on my behalf, we can’t give you a phone number for complaints or the depot. Even downright lies – “it is impossible to contact drivers” followed by “the driver has responded to say he definitely knocked” and “they always try a neighbour” which they definitely didn’t. Any company can make a mistake, it is how they try to correct them that matters.

Yodel are just obstructive, insulting and un-apologetic. Judging by comments here, I am far from alone in my experience. I wish I had found Yodelhell earlier
